Grateful Ministries

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.

II Corinthians 2:14

Why we work:

Grateful Ministries exists to develop local, sustainable difference-makers in education, energy, the economy, and the environment.

How we work:

Grateful Ministries are Pacific Islanders, and we believe Islanders are in the best position to find solutions to our own problems.

As Islanders, we grow up with an inherent humility that highly values collaborative work that puts the best people together to solve problems.

We are strong proponents of cooperative partnerships with outsiders who respect and cherish our island cultures, traditions, and vision.

What we value:

Tradition – We believe in honoring our unique heritage that values the wisdom and ways of maintaining the traditional lifestyles of earlier Pacific generations.
Prosperity – Our aim is thriving communities, where work is fruitful, poverty is minimized, healthy lifestyles are promoted, and relationships are strong.
Family – The Family is the most important unit in Traditional Communities. Grateful honors that tradition by seeking not only to improve health care for our elders but also to restore their role as educators of our Pacific children.
